I took the boys to the book fair at Cade's school and got caught in torrential rain on my way into the school. I had gone straight from the gym so I was already looking rough to start with. However, mix that with the wind and rain and the finished product was not good. In fact, (this is no lie), a special needs girl walked straight up to me in the library and said, "Why in the world does your hair look like that?" and she proceeded to use her hands to push my hair around on my head. Anyway, that's neither here nor there. Just a side note. So, I come home and see our little creek busting at the seams. Little bridge underwater.
I sat down inside and was reading to the boys. Seriously maybe 20 minutes had gone by, if that. This was the view out my back window.
Then just a couple minutes later, it looked like this. CRAZY. I got the boys suited up because we were going to kayak through the back yard but when I got to the garage I realized we didn't own a kayak. Next time I'm at Academy I may price them.
I also now have a nice collection of balls: footballs, soccer balls, bouncy balls, over sized plastic balls, and a sword, and probably some shoes. And plenty of miscellaneous garbage. And a strange pile of weedy things on my little bridge now that the water has receded. Let me know if you ever want to come over and pretend we're at Dale Hollow. As always it's BYOB (bring your own boat).
What's a race without a little hula hoop and chalk action beforehand? I think I would have done a lot better on my time when I did the half if I
Bobby gave
These two crazy coyotes were tagging along to cheer on their brothers. Rhett was watching too but he had been passed off to Grandma and

One pic with the mom.
And one last pic with the running buddy.
I was so proud of him for being so dedicated. He had to get up early before school and meet to run 3 days a week and then run on his own on the weekends. He had a great time doing it and I personally think it was a good character builder. I can't wait to do it again next year. Thanks to all the family who came to support him.....Grandma,

After church the cousins came over for lunch/egg hunting. It was a motley crew for sure.
Rhett put on his game face and went to town searching for eggs.
His basket had a good showing. Unfortunately several of them fell out as he was running.

Did she not scope this area out very well? Has she not taken note that the tiny suction cup holding this wreath on the door window is quite unstable??? Has she not seen Little Buddy slamming these doors in the morning while we're waiting on the bus?

We made it through the food line where
His buddy joined him, along with his buddy's brother. The ENTIRE reception was watching them.

Grant got the Yoda pen and the Falcon. ( Each one took whichever bag they pulled out.)

The sticker books were a hit. They spent most of their time flipping through them and talking about which movie they were from.
This turned out to be one of the best days ever! A big thanks to our Surprise Star Wars package sender. You're welcome to come and duel with us any time. You've made some very happy Jedi!
And, by the way, have I ever mentioned to you how much I love Jimmy Choo's and Manolo Blahnik's? I'd LOVE to get a Suprise package filled with that. I mean, I'm just sayin'.
