Big Dirt Pile........A boy's heaven

As most of you know, we built a house and moved in in October. We are currently trying to level out our back yard and to do so we had to get a bunch of dirt. On Tuesday we had 30 dump truck loads of dirt dumped into our backyard. The boys got home from pre-school just in time to see the last 5 loads drop and boy, were they excited! they have been playing in the pile since then. I bet it would be fine with them if we didn't even smooth it out. Although, I know they will be jumping for joy to see a bulldozer in the back! This is Cade sitting in the pile-you can't even see half of it.

Grant using his dump truck to haul some dirt who-knows-where. I'm assuming somewhere it shouldn't be..............
Another fun afternoon activity at the Morgan's. Sandbox. ( In case any of you are noticing: Yes, Grant does have a gray tooth. It is not, however, due to a lack of good oral hygiene. He got hit in the mouth at school and this is the result. The dentist is hoping that in the next couple weeks it will improve and go back to it's white color. Please say it will.............)
Rhett looks at the camera but won't smile today. I think he's trying to grab it because I didn't notice his arm/hand in the picture until I posted it.

Cade, proud with a giant dirt clod. Oh, the life of a boy....................

Road Trip!

We decided to take a road trip to visit Tracie and Chris. We went to their Atlanta apartment and wreaked havoc on their once quiet and normal lives. The boys had a great time despite being completely off of their sleeping schedules. We didn't get there until later on Friday night so it was a wash. Saturday we got up bright and early and went to the zoo. They were having a Tuberculosis Walk that day which was a little concerning so we were on the watch for people coughing and what not. So far none of us has come down with anything.....
The zoo had some baby pandas and all the
other animals you can think of. Cade and Grant mostly wanted to see the elephants and they also like looking at the snakes. This is Grant acting like a monkey.

Cade taking a rest with Tracie and Chris so he can finish off his early morning M&M's. Thanks, Chris! Rhett's favorite part of the whole zoo was this camel statue. He sat right on it but his camel riding was short lived. There were a bunch of other tots with the same idea.

We also went to the University where Chris teaches and we played in the courtyard. We were short one soccer ball so we had to make due with the resources we had. We played for a couple hours with some tennis balls and a huge workout ball. The boys loved it.

I just happened to catch this on film......... Grant is mischevious.

We had such a great time. Thanks Tracie and Chris for having us. We can't wait to see you again! I must say, however, that our parting from Atlanta was bittersweet. I had to leave little Chico with his "forever family". I know that it is best for him and I'm sure Chris is training him well. We'll miss him! Until next time...........

New sweatshirts and new books, too!

The last visit my sister and brother-in-law made they were stocked with many presents for the boys. Everyone got a new pair of shoes and the best of all.......3 UK sweatshirts. I claim to be a UK fan only by default ( I was born there). I can't say that I watch all the games or anything but Trac, Chris, my dad and my Papaw are all die-hard. I'm going to get one of these pics to my Papaw. I'm sure he would be tickled to see it. The boys really liked them and wear them all the time. ( Not sure why Cade has a pumpkin around his neck. Saved up from Halloween I guess).

I signed the boys up for the Imagination Library book club and they got their first books the other day. They were sooooooo excited. It was The Little Engine That Could. They immediately went to the porch and started "reading". Cade was a nice big brother that day and read to Rhett. Sweet moment.

Just some pictures

Just wanted to add a few pictures . I am still trying hard to figure all of this blog stuff out and get good at posting things. I know there are some of you that haven't seen the boys in a while so I thought I would give you an update. Grant had his 3rd birthday in Feburary and had a big time at his birthday party. It was a blast having it at the My Gym. Cade will have his 5th (can you believe it!) birthday in May. And baby Rhett is already almost 17 months old. I never know where I am going to find him. He's like "Where's Waldo" or something. I am going to try to update this blog as often as possible so check back sometime soon! As you can see, I'm new at this and these pictures posted sideways. Oh, well. You get the idea...............

Chico the pup

This is a picture of the cute little pup we adopted. Unfortunately, he is going to be going to live with his Aunt Tracie and Uncle Chris and their two dogs. We have found that with three preschoolers to take care of we just don't have the time to train and care for him like we should. I think he will be very happy there. The boys are going to miss him but we have been preparing them and they are getting a little bit better with the idea. she is going to bring him to visit whenever she comes here. I'll use this experience to remind myself not to make hasty decisions.................. until next time......

This is so unlike me to try and be computer savvy, but today I have decided to turn the corner. I will spend the next year figuring out how to get this looking decent and in turn hope that someone reads it! Please enjoy picture updates once I learn how to post them!
