Lesson learned.........

Don't let your children watch the plumber remove an apple from the toilet........... I heard lots of banging and clanging coming from the bathroom yesterday and walked in to find Rhett "plumbing" with Daddy's baseball bat. This is after finding him doing the same thing with my long handled duster on Thursday. And yes, after the picture he did have to sit in time out.
No other pictures from this weekend even though it was a busy one. Tracie and Chris came to visit and brought Chico and the boys loved it. I'm sure Chico was ready to get back to some peace and quiet after being tormented for 3 days. A big shout out to my mom and Chris for running the Country Music Half Marathon!!!! Great job you two. Maybe next year I'll don my running shoes for another stab at it.

Where's the Pool???

I was doing a little kitchen clean-up while the boys were playing outside. When I went to check on them this is what I found. They are really wishing for summertime! They are already talking about swimming in their Aunt Tracie and Uncle Chris's pool for "cation" (that is Cade's version of "vacation"). All of their pool toys are out of their bag and ready for some play! Bring on the swimmin' weather!

Lovin' the Sunshine!!

Finally the sun has come out again and we were able to enjoy some time outside. Grant got a bubble blower for his birthday and today we decided to pull it out and give it a whirl. It was a good 3 to 4 minutes of entertainment. Then the bubble gun started to be used improperly and Rhett's hair ended up all gooey with bubble juice. Poor guy. His brothers better watch out because I'm sure he is storing all these memories up and he will explode on them one day...

Grant was a bit perplexed at just exactly how the bubbles were coming out of this thing.......... you guessed it.....moments after this picture he got doused in the face with a parade of bubble.
Cade and Rhett decided that today would be a great day to have a picnic. Grant is his own little person and he decided he would not take part today. You never can tell with him.......... We look forward to having warmer weather this week. It's great to burn off some energy outside! It sure makes us all sleep better at night too!

Total Cost for the Prosecution.....$161.00

The Culprit: Grant Walker Morgan............

The Crime: Testing the capabilites of a Kohler Brand toilet by flushing an apple (yes, friends, AN APPLE !#@!#@).

The Hero: Gary, the plumber and his "special potty tools".Quote from Gary " I've never had to do this before" My response, "Welcome to the Morgan's..............."

The audience: Cade, Grant and Rhett who watched very intently for the entire 45 minutes that Gary worked. I'm sure he was thrilled.
I really wanted to get a picutre of Gary with his tool crunching up that apple but I thought he may not be interested in having his picture published on the internet doing such things. Anyway, never a dull moment here!

What would your face look like if...............

you were hit by someone running? and fell on a firetruck? and skidded across the gym floor? Unfortunately Cade knows. After clearing the blood away this is what we were left with. He recovered after about 30 minutes but I'm pretty sure he thought he was dying at first because his nose bled pretty bad. Poor guy. This is probably just the first of the worst.............Hence the life of a mom with rough-housing boys.

Easter Fun!

We had a pretty busy Easter weekend. We skipped our soccer games so we could take part in the yearly "Easter Eggstravaganza" that our church hosts. The boys would have died if they hadn't gotten to go. The weather was freezing at best but they seemed to not notice. Mom was a trooper and showed up to see the boys hunt their eggs.

After Rhett hunted his eggs, mom took him on a ride in the "choo choo". (Unfortunately, the poor child was unable to see anything due to the oversized hat his mother made him wear...)

Cade and Grant proud with their full buckets of eggs. Due to the temperature, Cade didn't pull his usual "dump and refill".
Rhett found a new hat when we went to Aunt Wendy's to hunt eggs. You would think after having 3 boys I would have a hat that was his size.............
We had dinner and an egg hunt with the cousins. Cade and Grant had a big time.
Easter Morning- it's a rush as it is to get to church at 8 but then you have to squeeze in some time for photos! We still made it to church at 7:59. Grant was NOT in the photo mood. I did actually snag one photo of him smiling. I think Bobby said chocolate or something and that got him going. Otherwise, for the day, below is about as good as it got concerning him and pictures.

I love dressing them up for easter. Around here, with all the testosterone, we don't do a whole lot of dressing up. I better savor it while I can! I'm sure they are not going to let me coordinate their clothing much longer!

Is that Beckham or Pele?

No, no, no it's just Cade and Grant making their soccer debut! It was fun (and interesting) to see 3 and 4 year olds trying to master the concept of competition as well as "teamwork" It's going to be a while that's for sure! This is Rhett, our ultimate soccer spectator, with his lounge chair and snack. He did great watching his brothers and thought it was pretty entertaining.

Cade getting some action. This could possibly be the one time during the game that he actually got near the ball. I have to give him his props though, he sure hustled the whole time.
"I'm so proud of me!" (I'm sure that's what he is thinking.......)
Dad came to cheer the boys on. It has been many years since he has been forced to watch someone play sports for weekends on end. I hope he's not ready to hang it up yet. By the looks of it he's going to have a lot more spectating (and advice/opinion giving) to do!
He shoots!!!!!!
Woooo Hoooooooo!!!!!!! He scores!!!!! (not really............ just good photo order.) He is actually excited because SOMEONE scored. Unfortunately that someone was not on his team. We have seriously got a lot to learn.
We have soccer every weekend from here until the end of May. The boys seem to be enjoying it and that is all that really matters. Deep inside I would like them to take the trophy, be MVP, get scouted........................I'll save my enthusiasm for high school :)
