On Tuesday we took a big trip to the zoo with our friends, The Ashman's, Aunt Tracie and grandma. Tracie came in for a few days and we had lots of fun swimming, zooing, and playing with Chico-boy. It was pretty nice weather for a zoo trip. Not too terribly hot. By the end of the day though, we had a buch of pooped out people. Adults and kids alike.
It seems we have made many trips to various zoos with Aunt T. Maybe we should make this some kind of family tradition.........visiting zoos worldwide together. She may beg to differ........
This is Rhett roaring at the tigers. He is actually "RRRRAAAAARRRRRR"ing at the top of his lungs. I'm pretty sure they were petrified.
Grant got pretty petered out and wanted to ride in the stroller. Rhett found that to be totally unacceptable and threw a fit even though he was not even riding in it. Leave it to mom to find a solution...............Who needs a double stroller anyway? Just stack 'em up and roll on.
This was the boy's most favorite attraction at the zoo. It is the wildlife area dedicated to "deere".
By the end of the day all the kids were acting like monkeys. We topped off the trip with some fun time in the jungle gym and jumping area and most importantly an Icee. Then lucky for me everyone fell asleep in the car and then didn't want to nap at home. (please note the sarcasm).
Good times. Great fun. Great friends and fam.

Too cute!!! Great idea grandma... but for some reason isn't the entire zoo all uphill... like the paralllel push- head between your arms climbing up a mountain kind of hill and at the same time flat as can be. I always leave that place exhausted.
PS... Brent would have you know that he "did" the consessions stand right beside the Unseen Wolrld Area.
