That One Day We Woke Up to Snow

We have not had a good snow since Target carried snow suits 3 years ago and I bought 4 pair of them. It's Murphy's Law....buy a snowsuit and then only see a  single flake for several years. Well, 2015 came and the streak ended a little! 

I actually had no idea it was suppose to snow and neither did the weather people probably. But we woke up to about an inch of the white stuff and by 8:15 we were out in it doing what you do. Elaina put her Christmas present to use. She and Grant make me smile:)

 Elaina is just cute so I took another picture of her. The sun came out and our fun in the snow was dwindling. 

Rhett spent his time making big, nasty, grassy snowballs the size of his own head. 

Elaina and her buds slid down the grassy hill now speckled with snow...

and spilled out in laughter at the bottom. 

And for good measure, a cute picture of one of our favorite Joneses. 

I didn't go over board with the pictures this year and now I'm left feeling like I didn't take enough. The snow was gone so quickly and we were left with a big muddy mess and a pile of dirty clothes to wash and put up. That one hour of sledding and snow ball throwing was worth the smiles it produced though! 

This Happened.

I couldn't find Rhett. Yelled for him. Looked for him. Where did I finally find him? 

Asleep in Annie's dog bed. And Annie asleep in the floor. So funny:)

Batting Gloves

Elaina is slightly obsessed with her Hello Kitty batting gloves. She has been wearing this one for days. No kidding. She's even eating dinner in it. This girl....baseball must be in her blood!

Hollywood Game Night!

 This year our annual dress up party fell on Bobby's birthday. It was so fun to have a great night with all of our friends and celebrate Bobby at the same time. You were suppose to dress up like someone from Hollywood...famous couple, someone/something from your favorite movie etc. Bobby chose to be Buddy the Elf:)

We had so much fun playing games and eating good food with our friends! Laughter really IS the best medicine!

Family Photo Session

This year we headed to Alabama for Thanksgiving and while we were there we had a little full family photoshoot. I'm not sure that we've ever had all of us together for a formal picture so it was a real treat! I set my tripod up and ended up with some pretty good shots if I do say so myself:)

I am so thankful for this family of mine. God's greatest blessing!

Sunny Mexico!

Bobby and I decided to celebrate our 15th anniversary on the beaches of the Mayan Riviera so we took a few days to chill and also took a friend couple with us! We did a super poor job of documenting the trip with photos but we did sneak a few. 

Samantha and I are always taking time to show feats of athleticism while on the beach. They might as well be documented for future reference:) I must say that   we do possess some serious ninja like jumping skills! 

It was a super fun getaway. The weather wasn't perfect but lying on the beach reading and spending time with Bobby and friends was. I'm so thankful for 15 years with Bobby and I look forward to many more travels with him in the future!

I thought I was going to be able to squeak by without hosting a friend day for Elaina. I mean, it's one thing to keep an eye on 8, 10, and 12 year olds but 4 and 5 year olds? Well, sign me up because sister is all about fairness. It was a good day with all of her little buds. Fun times at the Morgan pool!
