I snapped these photos on two different days but honestly, they could've been take at any given time on any given day for the past month. The child puts this outfit on EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Every one. I don't know what her obsession is with this get-up but I just roll with it. Reasoning with a three year old is impossible and I know this.

Is There Room for a Kid in There?
I guess by the time the fourth kid rolls around you throw all of that "nothing in the crib with the baby" stuff out the window. :/ And trust me, she knows if something is missing!

It's Totally Balmy!
I can think of only 2 people nutty enough to plunge into arctic waters all in the name of swimming fun: Rhett Morgan and his sidekick, Silas. They lasted about 10-15 minutes in this 62 degree water.
Then it was some bakin' in the sun to warm their gizzards. Look at the smile on Rhett's face. Makes me giggle just looking at it. Let the good times roll!

Spring Hill Kids' Marathon 2013
We were up and at 'em early to get ready for the 2nd annual Spring Hill Kids' Marathon. In an unfortunate turn of events, Little Rhettiboo caught a case of flu/strep and was still on the mend when the race rolled around. He was in the dumps about not being able to run. Especially since he was last year's first place winner. He and his buddy had big plans to cross the finish line together (last year his bud was the second place finisher). Ahh, it would've been cute. Oh well. Here are the brothers three prior to run time:
We were excited to be race-reunited with our friends Cade and Cavin for this year's run! It's been a few years since we experienced the race scene together. Look at those photo bombers. Tsk tsk tsk.
The fifth grade ran first.
Cade A. was tearing.it.up.
Cade Morgan was Mr. Nice and Steady.
It paid off in the end as he was a third place finisher. He moved up one, maybe two spots from last year. I was so proud of him!
G was up next.
Rollin' at a nice pace....
He came into the homestretch with only one person ahead of him but three trying hard to catch up. He sealed the deal with a second place trophy!
I caught a quick snap with G, Cavin, and Brady, his buddy from school.
I couldn't let the day pass without a picture of Rhett and his bud, Jett. They had been looking forward to this race day forever! Rhett stayed through all the races so that he could cheer his friend on. Hopefully next year they'll be able to have a little friendly competition again.
Yay for another race down in the books!

Get Yer Game Face On!
Today was Opening Day for our baseball seasons. The boys woke up bright and early and Bobby fed them the breakfast of champions: donuts from The Donut Palace. I guess the sugar high worked out well for them because all three boys had an excellent showing. I actually love this time of year...spring and baseball. It doesn't get any better! Play ball!

Dedication
It's just about time for our pool liner to be installed! We're getting excited about the thought of pool parties and swimming. I want nothing more than our pool and our house to be a hangout for everyone. I really do enjoy having a house full of people and to look out and see a bunch of my kids' friends hanging and having a great time would fill my heart with joy! We took an afternoon, picked some of our favorite verses, and dedicated our pool to the Lord by covering it in those verses. I want God to be in every aspect of our lives.....including our swimming hole!
Bring on that liner and let's get this thing filled!!

Easter
Easter kind of snuck up on me this year for some reason. I didn't go out and buy the kiddos all new outfits (Elaina, of course, had to have something a little new....she wore a "new to her" little cutie from a pal). Cade has been anti-jean or khaki since he started 5th grade so he didn't even have a pair of dress pants to wear. One of these days he'll realize that girls don't go for the guy that's always in wind pants. Anyhoo, he still looked handsome on Easter morning!
Grant looked dapper as usual. He still lets me dress him without complaint.
You can tell just by looking at this picture that this curly headed kid wakes up and eats self confidence for breakfast. He carries enough for all three boys combined and makes for lots of laughs for Bobby and me.
And sister, cute as a button but she is sassy.....oooooo is she sassy!
My handsome hubby and me on Easter morn. Note to self: buy yourself a springy dress for Easter. Oh well.
I really would like this picture if A) Rhett's glasses weren't below his eyeballs and B) if Elaina looked like she even half way enjoyed being there. It was spritzing rain and I was out of time. Whaddayado?
I had to include this shot of Elaina. This is her new "camera smile". I have to make it stop. I need her natural smile. I know all kids go through this phase though. I hope it's short lived!
The cousins came over to the house for lunch and the annual egg hunt. Weather forced us inside this year and that was a bummer.
I love these next two shots of Lanie with her Easter basket.
She got to head downstairs first to start the hunt. Once she realized the first egg she found had a starburst in it she was finished. I think she finally ended up collecting only about 8 eggs but she was as happy as a lark!
Grant found the prize egg with $10 inside. I think after all of his money eggs were counted he ended up with over $30!! Not bad!
I am so thankful that our family serves a risen Savior! Going to church and celebrating this day is always humbling. Salvation is a gift I am eternally (literally) grateful for! Happy Easter!
