Easter

Elaina picked out her own Easter dress this year which was a good thing since I laid out the same dress as she wore last year unbeknownst to me. I only figured it out after I looked back at my blog from Easter 2014.

Getting a picture of all of the kids together was a total chore this year. If three of them were being awesome, one of the wasn't. And of course it would be the one that should be old enough to know better...

Finally a decent one!

As is yearly tradition, we had our cousins over for an egg hunt and a big lunch after church.

Gone are cute baskets and walking with your kids as they hunt for little eggs. That's all now replaced with whatever kind of bag we can find and then it's sprinting through the yard. I was lucky enough to catch one decent picture of Grant hustling through the grass bagging eggs.

It seems every year we have less and less candy eggs and more and more money eggs. This year's ten dollar egg winner was Cade.

Everyone sat around and totaled out their findings. Grant had over thirty bucks but the high winner was Isaac with $42!!

One pic of Nana and Papa with their grandkids:

And, Grandpa and Grandma with theirs:

It was great to spend another year with family celebrating how great God's love for us is! So thankful we serve a RISEN SAVIOR!

Eleven!

This week we got to celebrate G's ELEVENTH birthday! He woke to his birthday crown (how long is he going to let me do that? I love it:) ) and coffee cake which is one of his favorite breakfasts.

His two requests (which have not deviated for several years now) were grandma's chocolate cake and a sleepover with his besties. Grandma came through once again with an awesome baseball cake!

I guess this is Grant's "I'm too cool for all this singing stuff" face or else he's the saddest kid ever on his birthday which I KNOW is not true:)

Make a wish!

I tried multiple times to get this crew to pay attention for just 5 seconds so that I could get a good picture. They literally couldn't stop acting nutty. I snapped this one quickly ( and of course one person had to blink!).

Before they scattered I was able to snap off one more but again, not everyone was cooperative with a nice face:) Ah, it is what it is. I still love all of these boys!

Happy eleven years of living, Grant! I have loved every year with you and I can't wait to see what new things this year brings you.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Elaina had her very first date tonight and she couldn't have been more excited! Her daddy asked her to go to the annual Daddy Daughter Dance and I spent the two weeks prior to it helping her count down the days.

She requested a "not poofy dress and gym shoes" and I personally think that I did a fantastic job delivering:)

She was very obliging during our mini photo shoot and I was so very happy when she pulled out her model face and let me get some print worthy shots. I mean, seriously, could there be a more beautiful girl? I think not.

 Stunning.

and silly too:)

Bobby went out the garage and to the front door so he could pick her up like a real date. Seeing her walk to the door with Bobby waiting on the other side was one of the sweetest things ever.

Too much....too precious:)

Every good date brings a corsage to wear to a fancy dance.

My main man and my little smiley princess.
Bobby said she had a great time but there was little dancing. She got distracted by all of the balloons that decorated the room. Instead of dancing she raced her friend Carris and hit balloons around for 2 hours. I guess that's the way it goes when you take a four year old out for a date:) I hope this is just one of many daddy dates she goes on and I hope she keeps her date bar as high as her daddy sets them. It will serve her well in the future if she does because her dad is one in a million!

That One Day We Woke Up to Snow

We have not had a good snow since Target carried snow suits 3 years ago and I bought 4 pair of them. It's Murphy's Law....buy a snowsuit and then only see a  single flake for several years. Well, 2015 came and the streak ended a little!

I actually had no idea it was suppose to snow and neither did the weather people probably. But we woke up to about an inch of the white stuff and by 8:15 we were out in it doing what you do. Elaina put her Christmas present to use. She and Grant make me smile:)

Here's Rhett in his snow gear:

Elaina lovin' life:

Cade was chillin' with Annie....

and she gave him some kissing':)
Elaina is just cute so I took another picture of her. The sun came out and our fun in the snow was dwindling.

Rhett spent his time making big, nasty, grassy snowballs the size of his own head.

Elaina and her buds slid down the grassy hill now speckled with snow...

and spilled out in laughter at the bottom.

And for good measure, a cute picture of one of our favorite Joneses.

I didn't go over board with the pictures this year and now I'm left feeling like I didn't take enough. The snow was gone so quickly and we were left with a big muddy mess and a pile of dirty clothes to wash and put up. That one hour of sledding and snow ball throwing was worth the smiles it produced though!

This Happened.

I couldn't find Rhett. Yelled for him. Looked for him. Where did I finally find him?
Asleep in Annie's dog bed. And Annie asleep in the floor. So funny:)

Batting Gloves

Elaina is slightly obsessed with her Hello Kitty batting gloves. She has been wearing this one for days. No kidding. She's even eating dinner in it. This girl....baseball must be in her blood!

Hollywood Game Night!

This year our annual dress up party fell on Bobby's birthday. It was so fun to have a great night with all of our friends and celebrate Bobby at the same time. You were suppose to dress up like someone from Hollywood...famous couple, someone/something from your favorite movie etc. Bobby chose to be Buddy the Elf:)

I was the Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story.

 We had Elsa and Olaf.
Uncle Lewis and Aunt Bethany from Christmas Vacation.

 The Duo from Grease.

Crazy sweaters because they didn't get the memo?? :)

Prince William and Princess Kate

Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimaggio

Forrest Gump and Jenny
 Clark Kent and Wonder Woman

We had so much fun playing games and eating good food with our friends! Laughter really IS the best medicine!
